About Private Prescriptions

A private prescription is issued by a private prescriber or by your NHS prescriber if your treatment is not available under the NHS. You will always be charged for a private prescription as it is not covered by any of the NHS exemptions.  The charge will include the cost of the medicine. Our minimum charge for private prescriptions is £4.50.

To order a private prescription:

1. Register online to set up your account.

2. Contact our Customer Care team by ringing 0844 262 9992 (9am to 6pm Monday to Friday) or e-mail care@co-operativepharmacy.co.uk to obtain a quote for your medication.  Alternatively, you can request a call back from the Customer Care team.

3. Make your payment to our Customer Care team and post the prescription to us. We will then dispense the medication and deliver it to you.

We will deliver to any UK address of your choice; this may be to your home, place of work or to another specified address.
