Important notice.
Breastfeeding is best for babies. It is recommended that Aptamil First be used only on the advice of a doctor, midwife, health visitor, public health nurse, dietician, pharmacist, or other professional responsible for maternal and child care.
When bottlefeeding do not allow prolonged or frequent contact of milk feeds with your baby's teeth as this increases the risk of tooth decay. Ask your Health Professional or Dentist for advice. Make sure your baby's teeth are cleaned after the last feed at night.

Feeding guide 0-12 months.
Your baby may need more or less than shown in the table below which is provided as a guide. Never leave your baby alone during feeding.

Preparing the feed.
Please follow these instructions carefully.
1. Wash hands and sterilise all utensils according to manufacturer's instructions.
2. Ensure the top of the carton is clean. Shake carton well and cut open where indicated using a clean pair of scissors. Pour the required amount of milk into a sterilised bottle or beaker.
3. Aptamil Hungry milk can be given at room temperature or warmed if desired. If warmed, check temperature of feed.
4. For hygiene reasons discard unfinished feed in the bottle as soon as possible, and always within two hours.

Feeding instructions.
Infant should be supervised at all times when feeding.
Once opened, unused feed still in the carton must be refrigerated immediately and used within 24 hours.
Do not heat feeds in a microwave, hot spots may occur and cause scalding.
